visitors tax
...has to be paid by every guest, visitor, owner of a chalet or apartment/room, who hasn’t his tax papers in Ernen Mühlebach Steinhaus, and this in the whole area of Wallis.
Adults pay SFr. 2.50 per day
children from 6 to 16 years pay SFr. 1.25 per day.
If you stay longer then 30 days, it's possible to pay the tax for one year (November to October).
For adults one year is Fr. 75.- and for children from 6-16 years it's Fr. 37.50
guest's card
Gives you many good reductions specially if you want to use the cable cars. You get it in the three first days of your stay from your hotel, landlord or at the tourist office, when you pay the visitor’s tax.
